Give in Honor of Shannon Baum

Shannon N. Baum has dedicated more than two decades of her career to Baptist Health, serving in leadership roles that demonstrate her passion for patient care and operational excellence. She is currently the System Director of Patient Care Logistics at Baptist Medical Center, where she oversees the Flex Team, Patient Care Logistics Center, Cardiac Monitoring Unit, Virtual Monitoring Unit, and Transport Services. In addition, she serves as the workstream lead for scheduling and staffing for Project Core, a new human capital management initiative at Baptist Health. In these roles, Shannon plays a vital part in improving patient throughput and implementing innovative solutions that support clinical teams and enhance the patient experience.

A proud Jacksonville native, Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and returned home to complete her Master of Science in Management at the University of North Florida. Beyond her professional life, she and her husband are raising two amazing sons, finding joy in family travel, boating, beach days, and cheering at their boys’ sporting events.

Shannon’s leadership and commitment have been recognized with multiple nominations for the Lotus Leadership Award and the Spirit of Magnet Award. She is a two-time recipient of the Department of Defense Patriot Award, honoring her support of Baptist Health team members serving in the National Guard or Reserve. In 2025, she is serving as a campus co-lead for Baptist Health’s annual United Way campaign. Dedicated to giving back, Shannon often volunteers with her team at Feeding Northeast Florida, reflecting her deep commitment to the community she serves.
