Celebrating Our Lifeblood: Volunteer Appreciation Dinner 2026

On April 28, 2026, Volunteers in Medicine proudly honored our incredible volunteers with a truly memorable evening at The River Club. More than 120 guests gathered for a night filled with laughter, warm embraces, and heartfelt stories as we celebrated the countless hours, quiet sacrifices, and boundless compassion shared by these everyday heroes.

Surrounded by the sweeping views of the river—every bit as inspiring as the time and talent our volunteers devote to serving our patients—we reflected on the profound impact made by each individual in attendance. From longtime volunteers to those newly joining our mission, every person plays a vital role in caring for the working uninsured, and our work simply would not be possible without them.

We were also honored to welcome special guests, including our cherished Co‑Founder, Dottie Dorion, as we raised a glass to the enduring spirit of service that propels Volunteers in Medicine forward. Thank you, volunteers—you are the heartbeat, the hands, and the heart of VIM, and we are endlessly grateful for all that you do.
