Meet the Patient: Suzette

Suzette, a dedicated advocate for the youth in our community, knows firsthand the impact of accessible healthcare. Before coming to Volunteers in Medicine West Jax Clinic, she struggled to afford the medications she needed to manage her diabetes—putting both her health and her ability to continue her important work at risk. Today, Suzette’s story is one of transformation. With the care and support of her providers at Volunteers in Medicine, her health has stabilized, her A1C has significantly improved, and she feels truly seen and supported. Because of this care, Suzette can keep showing up for the next generation—strong, healthy, and empowered.
